At Bramble & Stem, we specialize in creating captivating floral designs that merge fresh, organic blooms with a modern garden aesthetic. Our plants are selected for their charm and durability, while our gift section offers perfect choices for any occasion. What started as Studio 421 Floral Design, a home-based floral studio, now thrives in our delightful retail store in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City. Since 2012, we’ve been celebrated for infusing artistic and heartfelt touches into every bouquet, and we cherish the opportunity to help you mark life’s special moments with nature’s beauty.
Bramble & Stem is lead by Katherine Brambl Taylor and supported by a team she proudly calls her friends. We look forward to continuing to bloom with you!

Katherine’s favorites:
Family: My greatest love and inspiration. My supportive husband and two wonderful children make my world go round.
Friends: Nothing beats sharing laughter, memories, and a great glass of wine with my favorite people.
Nature: I love walking and hiking. Even a walk around the neighborhood with our dog, Tuesday gets me…but the Colorado mountains are my happy place. Finding small details in nature is one of my favorite things to look for on a hike, much to the annoyance of my hiking partners.
Volunteering: Giving back to my local community through a variety of charities is so important to me and my family. The joy in generosity is always rewarding.
Books: Historical fiction usually top my list. Be warned - I can talk about books for hours!
Travel: Exploring new places and cultures fills my bucket! I’m always down for a road trip filled with lots of good music and plenty of junk food.
Flowers: Is this an obvious favorite? Besides enjoying the beauty in nature, the joy I find in floral arranging is one of my favorite gifts from God.
